I’m definitely through the worst of the breakup by many months and am slowly pursuing other low-key options while I fully adjust to my newest life expectations after loving someone for four years that I wanted to love forever.
It is true that our problems were visible and glaring from the start. I would try to work on them, but she was unable or unwilling to do the same. I made a foolish choice and ignored those problems. I hoped, without reason, that she would become a better girlfriend for me. She never gave any indication that she would, but, outside of that, she was an incredible person. I was honored and delighted to have her in my life. So I accepted the sacrifice that being with her required of me.
